Estes Park Cross Country’s Captain-Led Camp

July 6 - July 7, 2019

The Estes Park Cross Country team will hosts their annual “TEAM CAPTAIN-LED CAMP” in early July. This 2-day, 1-night EPXC Captain-held (overseen by the coaches, of-course) camp will host the ENTIRE (100% attendance) EPXC team.

Captain’s camp provides an opportunity for the team to continue to grow, bond and strive for excellence during the midsummer training - and in-season. This camp will help facilitate the mentality and culture of the Estes Park Cross Country program. It also gives the EPXC Team Captain’s an opportunity to set the tone for the Fall XC season where they will be there to lead and set examples & expectations for their peers.

The operative word during the 24hours - which is the backbone of the Estes Park Cross Country culture and repeated continuously throughout the summer & in-season - is respect. (Accountability is a close second.)

Respect your teammates. Respect your coaches. Respect the training. Respect the process. Respect the racing. Respect everybody you come across, everybody who - in big ways and small - help this team to where we’re trying to go and what we’re trying to do: win League, win Regional, and win State!
