Estes Park XC & Track Runners:
We hope that everyone had a great Thanksgiving break to relax and spend time with their loved ones. As winter is now officially upon us and Christmas break a mere 3 weeks away, the EPXC and Track program is jammed-pack with upcoming team events.
Please read through carefully to plan accordingly:
1. Winter Training continues all the way through the start of Christmas break. Track pre-season meets in the HS Commons at 3:30PM sharp for a warm-up then a relaxed run of different routes. Practices usually go to 4:30-4:45PM. Please dress accordingly to what the weather dictates (i.e. beanie caps, gloves, pants, etc.). More info about Winter Training can be found on our Winter Training schedule HERE
2. The first official "Thrown Down Challenge" is happening this coming Saturday, December 3rd. ***IMPORTANT*** Could EVERYONE send Coach Harris a quick 'yay' or 'nay' if you plan to be there? This is in order to see how many seats on an activity bus or suburban need to be reserved as well as ensure everyone has a ride to Westminster. Again, here are the details:
Throwdown Challenge #1
When: Saturday, December 3, 2016: 9:30AM start time
Where: Westminster, CO
Which race: the Fa-la-la 5K
Where to Register: http://www.alloutmultipro.com/fa-la-la/
***Carpool will leave from the front entrance of EPHS at 7:30am SHARP***
3. The following, Saturday, December 10th at 9:30AM come out to Lyons and watch your very own coaches suffer through the 'Fastest Coach in Colorado' race. This is a great opportunity to see a 5K race through the coaches eyes and yell....uh I mean...encourage your coaches through the course. Again, we may reserve activity buses to carpool the short 30min drive to Lyons.
4. The final Saturday, December 17 at 9AM at the start of Christmas break is EPXC's 3rd Annual Egg Nog Mile. More details to following in coming emails, so for now, please mark this down in your calendar.
Keep up the training everyone, this is huge for the track season which will be quickly approaching!
