We continue to have a great turnout for our Winter Training and are still gonna encourage those who have not made it out, and are not in a winter sport, to start attending. We can't emphasize enough the importance of doing some sort of physical activity...preferably cardio/endurance-based...in the 'off-season' to maintain all those gains during the past XC season.

This past weekend, EPXC competed in the first coach's 'Throwdown Challenge' to the EPXC team. Although a small number attended, EPXC made a significant impact on the 5K field with all 4 competing finishing in the Top-10 (check it out HERE). Further, it appears that the coaches WON the 'Throwdown Challenge' and will have bragging rights plus the coveted trophy for the next year!

There are a few more events to note as we head into the Christmas break. Mark your calendars as they promise to be exciting:

1. Ever wonder what its like seeing an XC race from the sideline?...or how about running from mile marker to mile marker to encourage your runner?...or yelling at the top of your lungs until it felt as though your throat was gonna explode? Well, this is your chance to experience everything it takes to be an XC coach. This coming Saturday, December 10 is the 'Fastest Coach in Colorado' race in Lyons, CO. This is YOUR opportunity runners to come out and cheer on your EPXC coaches as they tackle the St. Vrain course and compete against coaches from all around the state.

The race starts at 9:30AM and there will be a bus taking those interested from EPHS to Lyons. we will follow up with the time to meet at the high school on Saturday morning to carpool.

2. Again, just mark your calendars for Saturday, December 17 at 9AM for the 3rd Annual Egg Nog Mile at Bobcat Stadium. More details will follow in next week's email but online registration can be found HERE. Please register if you are interested in competing. Trust me...its an awesome time!!

See you all out this week and Happy Running!
