As EPXC enters August, we are quickly approaching the beginning of the season. You’ll notice the calendar starting to ramp up with events as the school year and XC begin; please check our team calendar frequently for weekly updates. The first meet will be here in a blink of the eye.

Below is the upcoming week, please read carefully below:

Monday - O.Y.O (On Your Own) run. Please coordinate amongst your teammates to get out for some easy miles. We recommend anywhere from the 3 to 6 mile range.

Tuesday - Stanley Run @ 5:30PM (meet at Steamers Cafe). Choose from 3, 4, 5 or 6 low-key/easy effort miles AND stick around afterwards for a FREE delicious pasta dinner served by the Stanley staff. Excellent post run replenishment.

Wednesday – Little Valley Rd. / Pierson Park @ 6:30AM. EPXC will meet at the base of Little Valley Rd. (right off Fish Creek Rd.) and make our way up to Pierson Park. We’ll run up through the infamous ‘Puke Hill’, pass the ‘Overlook’ which has spectacular views of Estes, and continue climbing the rutted & rocky ATV road topping out just above 9000ft. The inclines on this route are moderate-to-difficult reaching up to 15 degrees….eh, a walk in the park after all the trails we’ve been doing this summer J . Make sure to bring your hydration pack and snacks for along the way. As always, pancakes served afterwards.

Also on Wednesday evening, there will be an EPXC Team Camp meeting in Coach Harris’s room at the high school at 5PM. This meeting is for both parents AND runners. If you’ve been invited to team camp, please make every effort to be there for important info.

Thursday – La Cocina de Mama (formally Mountain Strong) @ 6:30AM. EPXC will meet in the parking lot and make our way around downtown Estes. Afterwards, we’ll treat ourselves to this family owned & operated local business. They serve top-notch breakfasts all day; omelettes, bacon & eggs, skillets, breakfast burritos and MORE! Mmmmmmmm, can’t wait!

Friday - O.Y.O (On Your Own) run. Please coordinate amongst your teammates to get out for some easy miles. We recommend anywhere from the 3 to 6 mile range.

Here's to another awesome week ahead! Happy Running and GO BOBCATS!
