WE MADE IT! The “Official First Day” of cross country practice starts this coming Monday, August 14. Please note that we will be meeting at the high school track PROMPLY at 7AM. If you are unable to attend for whatever reason, contact Coach Harris (alexander_harris@psdr3.k12.co.us) or Coach Stafford (tony_stafford@psdr3.k12.co.us) as soon as possible. Cross country practice will resume the following Monday (21st), the first week of school, at 3:30 through the end of the season.

FOR RUNNERS: On Friday, we’ll conduct a 1-mile time trial on the track to judge current fitness levels for all runners. Make every effort to be there. Based upon the time trial, we can individualize training plans to optimize meet performances; so ensure you give your best effort.

FOR PARENTS: **WE NEED YOU TO ATTEND** Mark your calendars for Wednesday, August 16 which is EPHS’s Fall Sports Meeting. Assuming they will let parents in the high school auditorium (because of the flooding a few weeks ago), the Fall Sports Meeting will meet there at 6PM. EPXC will break out for a brief meeting (max 30-45mins) following the main meeting in Coach Harris's room. This is where we’ll go over specific XC logistics (meets, team dinner sign-up, Color Run fundraiser, snack bin sign-up, Longs Peak Meet, Patriot League Meet, etc.).

**IMPORTANT** Per Athletic Director, Mr. Collins, ALL athletes must give Coach Harris / Coach Stafford a "golden ticket" to practice on the 14th. Runners can get them from the HS office which signifies they have all necessary paperwork for participation; they may have gotten them at registration last week. If you do not have one, please still attend practice on Monday and stay until school opens at 8AM to speak with the front office of necessary paperwork to participate.

Lastly, we could not be more excited to start this upcoming season. With day-in and day-out dedication and commitment to this team, to yourself and the training process, everyone should be successful this season!

Here's to the start of an awesome season ahead! Happy Running and GO BOBCATS!
