What an awesome first week of cross country practice! Coach Harris and I will continue with our weekly emails but will be sent out on Mondays thru the end of the season…please note the change.
Lots of things to cover, so please read through everything. We are in full swing with the season and school starts this upcoming week! YAY, we know you all are excited about that! Remember, ONLY freshman are reporting to school on Monday, HOWEVER, all runners are expected to be at practice at 3:20PM. This will be our practice time throughout the season usually ending between 5-5:30 depending on the day.
Before we get to the upcoming week, Coach Harris and I would like to recap the parent meeting this past Wednesday for those that were unable to make it.
8/16 Parent Meeting Recap:
At the start of the meeting we covered coach introductions, team philosophy, rules & expectations, parent & coach roles, and athlete defined goals. If you would like more clarification on any of these topics, please contact us.
Team Dinners & Snack Box
If you have not already signed up to host a team dinner OR to provide snacks for the snack box, please look over the following link and add your name to the list or send one of us an email.
We’ve attached a copy of EPXC’s meet schedule to this email. The most significant change from last season is that we will be hosting two home meets at the 9-hole golf course in Estes Park on 9/30 & 10/7. We could use as many parent volunteers as possible, so please mark your calendars.
New Team BACers Liaison:
Lastly, we'd like to thank Tia Ginter for stepping up and taking over as our new BACers liaison. Tia will be our representative at BACers meetings and will be coordinating team spirit event like locker decorations, Color Run packet pick-up, etc.

For those that are new, be prepare to race the follow week at the CSU/Frontier Academy Meet. Coach Harris will provide meet sheets at Thursdays practice to everyone.
Lastly, we could not be more proud of this team thus far. As I stated in the last email, with the day-in and day-out dedication and commitment to this team, to yourself and the training process, everyone should be successful this season!
