Below is a quick recap of the great set of races that the EPXC team had this past Friday at CSU / Frontier Academy Invite. Looking over the results, there was not a single bad race in the heat.

The EPXC girls team placed 12th overall and 4th in the 3A division and were led by Annalise Basch with a time of 22:54, a -22 second course PR for her. We also had a course PR of -27s for Mae and a huge course PR of -2:44 from Zoe. Charlotte and Eva ran new 5k PRs of -32s and -1:13 respectively. Meila and Julia ran for the first time ever in high school EPXC uniforms and both set initial 5k PRs. We also had strong preformances from Sam and Andra, this was Sam's first time on the CSU course and Andra's first race of 2017.

The EPXC boys team placed 7th overall and 3rd among 3A schools present and were led by Finn Tierney with a time of 17:25, a -16s course PR over his 2016 CSU time. We also had big course PRs from Lucas and Oliver who bettered their 2016 CSU times by -1:22 and -46s respectively. We had new lifetime 5k PR's from Nathan who took -23s off of his time and a big lifetime PR and course PR double from Hayden who ran 20:50 which was a -1:55 improvement from this CSU time last season. Mason and Derrick both significantly bettered their times from last Friday at CMS. Lastly, we had high school EPXC debuts from Cole, Chase, and Woody, all of who set automatic 5k PRs.

We were all very pleased with the results and we are looking forward to another strong week of training as set our sights on the St. Vrain Invite this weekend.
