We FINALLY made it to BREAK, Whew! From all of the coaches, let's us first wish everyone a safe, relaxing, and joyful holiday break. At least for the next week, there will be no formal/organized training, so we highly encourage everyone to get out for something (running, walking, hiking, biking, etc.) with friends and family.

There is not much upcoming news for this week but a recap on an EPXC holiday tradition which was held this past Friday. Please read further:

Egg Nog Mile Recap

This past Friday was the 4th Annual Egg Nog Mile. This may have been our biggest turnout to date. There was fast times (one record went down), lots of Egg Nog and plenty of laughs. There are 5 distinguished awards (see descriptions HERE) for this race:

Top Male/Female Award: Senior Nathan Zurfluh now has the Egg Nog Mile record posting a mile/drinking time of 5:59, WOW!! Sophomore Charly Raymond was the first female across the line in a time of 8:01.

The "Egg Nog" Team Award: This goes to the Sophomore Class for posting 16 total points for this class (See 2018 Results HERE). I believe they also had the most runners for representing their class. Way to go you all, bragging rights for a year!

The "Best Up Chuck" Award: This award goes to Nathan....no further comments.

The "I Didn't Throw Up" Award: This award could have gone to quiet a few runners who didn't appear affected by all that Egg Nog: Meila, Woody, Eva, Tatum, Brooke...and lots more. The coaches couldn't quite decide this one, so we are going to give it to all of them. :-)

The "Spirit" Award: Samantha Daley took top honors with her homemade ensemble which definitely brought cheer and the holiday spirit to everyone!

You can see the whole 2018 Egg Nog Mile album HERE.

We are looking forward to next year. Stay tuned for the "Save the Date".
